Got an envious streak?
In the absence of many 'decent' compilation dance albums recently (it's all 'Rubbish Euphoria' this and 'Toss Hardcore' that!- And don't even mention that 'niche' tripe to me - it's just rubbish speed garage that one shite drugs-den of a club plays!) - DeeJayOne was asked to put together an an album of dance tunes for a friend's birthday.
Seems easy, but the decision has to be made whether to go with the current flow and lump a load of popular chart dance tracks together, or whether to do something a bit different. So, a bit different it is, then.
What sets this compilation apart is that it ISN'T a polished computer BPM-matched-and-sit-back to listen to one constant beat album - THIS is a collection of classic dance tunes, mixed live just as you would hear in a pub then club.
Purposefully, I made this album out to be a 'journey' to remind people of the good times of a great night out. It starts off with some build-up tunes that you'd naturally hear in the bar before getting going with what you'd expect to hear in a club and climaxing with that end-of-night anthem that has you beaming from ear-to-ear whilst the said ears are ringing on the walk to that taxi rank.
Also purposefully, I left in those little errors in the mixing - because when mixing to a crowd live, that's what would occasionally happen. So - on to the track listing before the all-important download link...
